Saturday, October 11, 2008 will be the 146th Commemoration of the Battle of Perryville.  This year, we are honored to be asked to lead a ghost investigation that evening.  Beginning at 5 PM, the lovely Patti Starr will be giving a presentation on “The Truth About Ghosts”.  Following her presentation and a brief presentation on the battle, SHOCK will be leading visitors on a ghost hunt of the battlefield.

This will be the chance for you to investigate one of Kentucky’s most historic sites.  Judging from our past experiences at Perryville, this should be one amazing investigation.  Visitors can bring audio and video recorders, cameras and any other equipment they would like to use to capture evidence on this paranormally active battlefield.

Well, we’ve closed the book on this year’s ScareFest.  We hope all who attended had an awesome time.  It was great to see the blood, sweat and tears we’ve donated to this amazing event finally pay off.  We had a fantastic turnout, more people than we ever imagined would come to this first-time convention.  Every attendee, vendor and star that we spoke with had nothing but great things to say about the event.

If you missed out this year, don’t worry.  We’ll be back again in 2009.  The dates for the next ScareFest are September 11, 12 and 13.  We’re hoping to add more convention rooms, concessions and excitement!  Be sure to check out the website www.thescarefest.com and join the mailing list.  You won’t want to miss out as this amazing event gets bigger and better.

Just finished a few quick updates on our website.  We’ve added three new EVPs from Rohs.  We finally put Chris’s bio up.  Yeah, we know, we know.  It’s about time.  So, go check it out and see what you think.

It’s been a little while since we gave you guys an update.  Currently, we are up to our eyeballs in ScareFest planning.  We are ONE MONTH AWAY from the most awesome event this area of the country has ever seen.  In addition to that we’ve fit in a few investigations.

As we posted earlier, we recently investigated Rohs Opera House in Cynthiana, KY.  Great place.  We captured several EVPs that we will soon be posting for you to check out.  We also had a recent investigation at Studio G in Harrodsburg.  Some of the evidence we got there will also be posted on the website soon.

We’ve also been talking with a regional television network.  Keep your ears and eyes open.  SHOCK may be closer to you than you think!

Exciting news for all you paranormal enthusiasts and groups!  ScareFest, the Southeast’s largest horror and paranormal convention, will be holding a paranormal evidence contest.  This contest is open to individuals and groups.  We are accepting submissions for photo, video and audio evidence.  Awesome prizes will be donated by the Ghost Hunter Shop in Lexington, KY!  Visit the website www.thescarefest.com for all the juicy details.  You can find out how to enter and read all the rules here.

We would like to send a big thank you to Roger Slade and the staff at Rohs Opera House in Cynthiana, KY.  We had an great time investigating the Opera House over the weekend.  We experienced some unusual activity and caught some great EVPs.  This place is awesome.  There is a lot of history here.  If you are in or around the Cynthiana area, be sure to check out Rohs Opera House and tell them SHOCK sent you!

SHOCK is happy to have been invited to investigate the historic Roh’s Opera House in Cynthiana, KY.  We’ll be investigating soon and hope to have tons of great evidence to share with all of you.  Stay tuned for all the juicy details!

As SHOCK’s home on the web continues to evolve, we are excited to add a forum to our site.  We are currently looking for people to test it out.  We want to make sure things are running relatively smooth before unleashing it to the world.  If you would like to be a guinea pig/tester for our forums, send us an e-mail: request@spirithunters-ky.com with SUBJECT: Forum Test. 

There’s not a lot required of testers.  When you agree to test the site, we’ll send you the link.  You will register.  Then, play around on the boards.  Post in the various categories.  Give us a chance to get things worked out behind the scenes.  During this test period, we will also be taking suggestions on how to improve our forums.  Remember, we are not webmasters.  We’ve never delved into something like this before.  If you’re experienced in forum/bulletin board building, give us a shout.  We’re open to your tips and suggestions.

I want to take a minute to thank all who have stopped by to see the evolution of SHOCK.  We have so many big things coming our way, we wanted a more updated site to share them with you.  Right now, we are in the process of adding a SHOCK forum to the website.  We hope that you will use this forum to network with other groups and paranormal enthusiasts from everywhere. 

We are always open to suggestions, none of us are Webmasters.  It’s a learning process and with it comes a huge learning curve.  Within the next few days, we will be looking for people to test out our message boards.  The forum will not be made public until we feel it’s ready for the world, and that the world is ready for it!  Keep checking with us, we’ve got big plans in the works!
